A VERY SPECIAL PROGRAM BY AREA BUSINESSES HELP TO OUR SENIORS

Paoloni Insurance Agency (766 North Valley Ave., Olyphant) has initiated a program in Olyphant to help seniors in our Olyphant Development on Grant and Susquehanna Streets. They are asking local retailers to place a change box in their businesses for donations. Paoloni Insurance will then match the total fund from all boxes collected for the week up to $100.00. These monies will be used to purchase nutritious groceries for any senior who is in need of assistance. As they put it "helping our local seniors citizens who built our proud Borough of Olyphant".

Our hats are off to Paoloni Insurance for this very worthwhile endeavor and for caring enough to be in the forefront of a wonderful program.

Resident Councils

We encourage our residents in each of our developments to form "resident councils". These councils take an active part in the upkeep, activities and security of their sites.

Moosic Meadows has a resident council, formed since July of 2007. The resident volunteers are very active in providing activities for the children of their neighborhood, such as a Halloween Party, an Easter Egg Hunt Party, Craft parties, and, a Christmas Party. The Moosic Meadows resident council also are involved with local officials in improving their neighborhood by installation of "Children at Play" signs.

The residents' council also works with the Administration of the Housing Authority in improving their neighborhood surroundings and making sure their development is as safe as possible.

If you would like more information about forming a resident council at your development, contact your site manager, or call the main administration office.
